Magnificent seven for ladies in home clash

Lowick United Ladies 7 Easingwold Town Ladies 0

Lowick secured their first points of the season with this comfortable victory over their visitors from Yorkshire.

Easingwold had come to defend and in the first half Lowick struggled to break them down despite creating several scoring opportunities. The breakthrough came after 30 minutes when Michelle Stewart followed up her own shot, which was saved by the visiting keeper, to score.

The second half saw the home team play with a higher tempo, passing the ball out of defence and beginning to break down the opposition at their leisure. Michelle Stewart was back to her irrespressible best, scoring two quickfire goals to make it 3-0.

Lowick began to play their best football of the season, passing the ball out of defence and carving the opposition apart. As the match wore on, Easingwold began to tire and goals from Georgia Thompson, Becky Robinson and two more from Stewart made it 7-0.

Best for Lowick: Michelle Stewart and Robyn Stewart.
