Lowick United Girls took part in the Pinpoint North of England Football Tournament in Newcastle.
They played three league games, winning two and drawing one to finish top of their group, taking them through to the semi-finals.
In a closely contested semi they drew 1-1 with Blyth Town but managed to get through to the final after a penalty shoot-out win.
In the final they played Morpeth and after taking a two-goal lead looked set for the win, however, Morpeth struck back just before half-time to make it 2-1.
The second half was a real attacking battle with both teams looking for a goal.
It came with the last kick of the match when in injury time Morpeth were awarded a penalty which they coolly converted.
This meant penalties to decide who went home with the trophy.
Lowick United’s keeper was outstanding in the shoot-out, saving all three of Morpeth’s penalties to ensure that Lowick United were crowned Pinpoint North of England Champions.
