Cramlington Town Whites U10 1 Longhoughton Rangers U10 7
NMSL U10 Serie A
Longhoughton travelled to Cramlington looking to extend their brilliant run of form and leave them on the brink of a deserved title win.
From the kick-off Rangers were given a shock and on eight minutes the Whites striker darted straight between the Rangers defence before coolly guiding the ball into the corner (1-0).
Within two minutes Rangers were level. Ben Lawton accelerated up the line drawing in three tacklers and skipping past them before firing in a low cross which was thumped in at the near post by Lewis Fairbairn (1-1).
Next a Joseph Cormack cross into the box fed Fairbairn to fire home for his and Longhoughton’s second (1-2).
From a corner, the ball could only be cleared to the edge of the box where Roan Brayson had the time to look up and pick his spot (1-3).
For their fourth goal, Lawton skipped past three challenges before playing a delightful one-two with Fairbairn before rifling his shot past the helpless keeper (1-4).
Four minutes into the second half, Lawton grabbed his second of the game (1-5) before Cormack followed up Lawton’s saved shot for a tap-in (1-6).
And he made it a hat-trick when he was set free from a pass by Cormack, who had run through the midfield.
