Amble Tavern raise a glass to fine 5-1 triumph

Morpeth Sunday League round-up

Division One

Amble Tavern toasted a good performance in Morpeth Sunday League Division One, after a fine 5-1 victory over Bedlington Barrington Arms.

Elsewhere in the top flight, the encounter between Stobswood and Wharton Arms was a much closer affair, with Stobswood running out 3-2 victors.

The only other match scheduled for Division One was Riverside Lodge against Ashington RAOB, but this was postponed.

Division Two

The Division Two fixtures between East Chevington and Amble Dock Hotel and North End Trap and Elephant FC were also off.

There was some action though, as Morpeth Shambles ran riot against Ashington Conchie, taking all three points with a convincing 13-1 victory.

Amble Blue Bell also took maximum points, beating HMP Northumberland 3-2.
