Amble slip further down table

Amble slipped another place down the Northern Alliance Premier Division table last night as they could only manage a draw with fellow challengers Blyth Town.

The Seasiders’ 2-2 draw at second-placed Blyth Town was a respectable result, but they were leapfrogged by Carlisle who won 5-1 at Wallsend Town.

League leaders Heaton Stannington were not in action last night in the league, but took home some silverware after a 3-0 win over Ponteland United in the Northumberland FA Senior Benevolent Bowl Final.
