FC Amble Juniors won the derby-day showdown with Ellington, despite going a goal behind.

Ellington went 1-0 up within ten minutes and had another chance from a free-kick, which James Aldworth collected well.

Amble were awarded a free-kick on the edge of the penalty area and James Oliver curled the ball into the bottom corner of the net. Oliver then laid the ball off to Brad Little who fired a shot straight at the keeper.

Into the second half and Ali Batey soon made it 2-1 for Amble, placing the ball in the back of the net. Jordan King was causing problems with his pace, and then crossing into the box for Nathan Potts to fire in from close range, for the all-important third goal.
