Alnwick Cricket Club is drawing up a five-year development plan – and the committee wants community feedback to help shape the club’s future.
The long-standing club, which has just celebrated its 175th anniversary season, wants to become a hub for a range of community activities, as well as cricket.
The committee has put together a questionnaire to get comments from present and would-be users about what improvements people would like to see at the clubhouse and ground to make it more user-friendly.
The responses will form the basis of the committee’s five-year development plan, that will be discussed at the Annual General Meeting, scheduled for November 6.
The clubhouse has been recently repainted and new double glazing makes it suitable for year-round use as a meeting place or for social events.
The committee wants to see it booked more often, particularly out of cricket season, and to encourage more social members to enjoy the bar area.
The venue is hosting a Super Quiz Night on October 25, and people can see what the club has to offer.
