Dream debut for Kieran

KIERAN Hogg had a debut to remember, landing two 180s in the Alnwick Premier Darts League on Friday.

His two maximums helped the Fleece to a 6-1 win over the Farriers in the Division A contest. Alan Rumney secured the sole point for the Shilbottle men.

League-leading Alnwick Gate A took another stride towards the title with a 7-0 victory over John Bull. Steven Dunn of the Gate and the Bull’s Rob Knox hit 106 finishes, while Chris Copper checked out on 114 for the defeated side.

Elsewhere in Division A, Blue Bell A beat Gate B 4-3, with Stu Knowles hitting his second 180 of the season for the Gate while Keith Bell landed a 114 check out.

Oddies B beat The George 4-3.

In Division B, Alnwick Castle Golf Club A enjoyed their best result of the season beating The Hotspur 6-1. Captain Peter Munro scored the Hotspur’s lone point.

Shilbottle Club picked up a good win too, beating league leaders Alnwick Working Men’s Club B 4-3. The Alnwick side’s Geordie Tate hit a 180 while Richard Robson checked out on 109 for Shilbottle.

Bill Bradley landed a 180 in the Market Tavern’s 4-3 triumph over Alnwick Working Men’s Club A, although John Carss hit a 104 finish for the Club.

Alnwick Gate C beat Alnwick Castle Golf Club B 6-1.

l The Subsidiary Plate and Knockout Cup semi-finals and finals will take place on March 23 at The Alnwick Gate.

League Doubles will be on March 30 and League Singles will be April 6.
