Men’s County Clegg League

It was a very difficult week for the men fighting for survival in the Clegg Division One. Alnwick had a backlog of games and had to play two games in one week.

Last Wednesday, Alnwick played Gosforth (West Avenue).

The game started evenly, but Gosforth took command. The result was Alnwick 72 shots Gosforth 81. This meant that Alnwick only scored four points to Gosforth’s 10.

The next night, Alnwick played St George’s Hospital.

The home green looked good and the team started with confidence. However, St George’s proved to be too strong on the night and won by 21 shots to St George’s 79. The score was Alnwick 2 points, St George’s 17.
