The Duchess’s Community High School U15s competed in a knockout game against Berwick Academy to establish who would compete at the county finals day in Ashington.

They beat Berwick and then progressed onto the finals day confident of coming away with a victory after their recent success.

The Duchess’s U15s played four games against Churchill, King Edward’s, Prudhoe and then King Edward’s again in the final.

After a narrow victory against Churchill, the team settled, beating King Edwards by 90 runs to set up a semi-final with Prudhoe.

Prudhoe could only manage 43 in their allotted 12 overs, while the Duchess’s U15s scored 66.

In the final, the Duchess’s batted first, scoring 90 off eight overs, while King Edward’s could only manage three runs after some great bowling by Cameron Batey and Cameron Thorpe.
