Northumberland Three Castles Golf Tournament

The second Northumberland Three Castles golf tournament took place at three of the finest courses in the area from July 23 to 25.

The competition format was a better ball competition with 118 pairs battling to be crowned the 2013 champions.

There were trophies and more than £1,500-worth of vouchers to be won for the accumulated scores over the three days.

The event was sponsored by Bamburgh Castle itself with the winners retaining the Bamburgh Castle Trophy for one year.

It was hosted by Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh and Alnwick Castle golf clubs, which were all in pristine condition, a credit to all the green keepers.

The overall winners were Andrew and Oliver Holden from Tyneside and Close House Golf Clubs with a great score of 125 points.
