GIRL power came to the fore in the Alnwick Premier Darts League on Friday night, as Camilla Marsh helped inspire The Market Tavern to a convincing win over Alnwick Castle Golf Club B.
A stunning show at the oche saw Camilla land a 180 as well as a 137 finish as the Tavern sunk the Club 6-1 in the Division B fixture.
K Watson earned the solitary point for the Golf side.
Alnwick Gate C continued their great start as the Division B table-toppers defeated Alnwick Castle Golf Club A 5-2.
It was the same scoreline in the division’s other two matches, as Alnwick Workingmen’s Club (AWMC) A beat Shilbottle Club and The Hotspur were victorious against the Oddies A.
In Division A, a 106 finish from Ian Tate helped Alnwick Gate A to a 6-1 triumph over The George.
Darren Melbourne and Mick Armstrong won their pairs match to grab the lone point for the defeated side.
The result sees the Gate second, with a game in hand and one point behind current league leaders Gate B, who were defeated 4-3 by the John Bull on Friday.
The other two top-flight matches also ended 4-3, as a resurgent Farriers beat Bell Bar B, with John Wilkie turning in a man-of-the-match performance for the winners on his debut, while the Fleece defeated Oddies B, with Rob Wilson scoring a 180.
