Top team Rothbury came slightly unstuck when they visited Amble and ended up with a 4-4 draw, with Amble taking the shots points on a 57-46 score.

Alnwick won 6-2 at home to Seahouses on a fast green, with a shots score of 68-46.

Lowly Lesbury came out of their shell and gave last season’s league leaders Wooler a fright in a close game, which Wooler won 6-2 with a shots total of 60-54.

One of Woolers’ rinks was only won by one shot.
