On Sunday, the ladies dressed all in pink to end the season with a nine-hole competition raising £147 for Breast Cancer Breakthrough.
The winner was Pam Fawcus with 20pts on countback from Eileen Robinson also on 20pts. Afternoon tea followed and then the presentation of trophies to all the season’s winners. The picture above shows Club Champion Pam with the other prizewinners.
September Medal:The fabulous September Medal was at stake at the Old Links last weekend and it was club champion Neville Holden who blew away the field. His marvellous straight driving and precision iron play resulted in a gross 68, nett 64, to win by 3 shots. His nearest challenger was Barry Punton whose nett 67 was just not good enough. He was followed by Charlie Hindhaugh, Dazman and Paul Gray whose scores of nett 69 were only good enough for sweep money. The big winner on the day was Dave Arkwright whose strategy won him a triple twos pot of over £90.

The final junior competition was the Autumn Trophy and for the second week running Freddie Bremner held off Daniel Cooke by 2 shots to triumph. Scores: F.Bremner 100-30=70;D.Cooke 86-14=72.
