WARKWORTH

Greensomes Trophy: Rob Balmbra III and Nathan Brown took the trophy with gross 69(nett 64.2). They won by over three shots from Maurice Abbot and Les Graves. A mere 0.6 of a shot behind in third were Davy Brunt and jockey Gavin Milroy. There were no twos, so the prize fund carries over to the next team competition off the winter tees.

Chairman’s Cup – final round: Brian Tait took first place on 39pts ahead of Chris Wilkinson on 36 and Terry Carr also on 36. This gave Brian the overall victory as well on 148 ahead of David Crisp on 143. It also gave Brian an unassailable lead in the Farm To Freeze Order of Merit. With one round to go he now has 70pts followed by David Crisp on 52 and Les Johnson on 51.

Fayer’s Cup: Winners were Pat Tatters and Alistair Sharp on 44pts ahead of Susan Brown and John Ewing on 43.

Captain’s Wake: Has been moved to October 6. Ladies October Medal has been now on October 7.
