Sunday’s match was the Mick Hayes Memorial Trophy. There was a slight southerly sea running and some colour in the water so conditions for cod were good.

Nineteen anglers fished with six managing to weigh in. Anthony Gibbison won the match with four cod for 8lb 12oz, second was Micky Buck with two cod for 7lb 7oz. Antony Abbott had the heaviest fish a cod of 5lb 11oz. Others weighing in were Paul Buddles, four cod, 6lb 2½oz; Steve Scott one cod, 1lb 12oz; Patrick Porteous, one cod, 1lb 8oz. The club would like to thank those anglers who were not in the club who took part and also Adrian Hornsby for donating some money to the prize fund.
