Alnwick 17 Percy Park 32

Alnwick suffered their second defeat of the season today, at home to Percy Park.

The Greensfield outfit took an early lead when Rich Elliott bulldozed over into the corner.

But the North Shields visitors came back with a try and then a penalty to take the score to 5-8.

Just five minutes later, Alnwick responded with a hard-worked try from a scrum. Gothorp went over for 10-8.

At 10-15, it was a tight game.

Then Ben Foy showed his strength for a great debut try which Weddell converted to put the home side back in the lead at 17-15.

There was a yellow card for Bulmer. Percy Park took advantage of the bin to put the scoreline at 17-20. Ten minutes later they scored again, 17-25.

Park, who were three places above Alnwick in North One East, finished well to take the final score to 17-32.

Meanwhile, Alnwick Colts won 17-15 away to West Hartlepool. The Colts came back from 15-7 down.
