Clubs from around north Northumberland descended on Warkworth Cricket Club for an U9 cricket festival on Sunday, July 8.

Alnwick, Alnmouth, Tillside, Warkworth and Morpeth Cricket Clubs attended the eight-a-side competition and all were extremely relieved to get in some form of cricket after the rain has curtailed most of the season so far.

Dark skies threatened to end the festival; but it was Alnwick who were overall winners – pictured with the trophy along with all the other competitors.

Thanks went to Warkworth Cricket Club for hosting he event.
