DIVISION ONE

Acklington Ath...1 Lowick Utd...6
WITH the wind behind them Lowick pressed hard and led by three goals at half-time.

Acklington improved after the break and pulled a goal back when Daniel S
ayers headed home.

Lowick replied with three more goals before the final whistle. Goal scorers for Lowick were Colin Young and Anthony Murray with two each and single strikes from Ross Richardson and Neil Jefferson.

Lynemouth MW...9 Rothbury...1
WITH a strong performance, Lynemouth took a five-goal lead before half-time and kept up the pressure after the break to net another four, with John Angus hitting a consolation goal for Rothbury.

Sean Dodds scored a hat-trick, Thomas Brotherton netted twice and Eddie Towers, Adam Kent, Ashley Smyth and Ross Muter hit one apiece.

Berwick Town...5 North Sunderland...2
A NEIL Mcfarlane goal gave North Sunderland a second-minute lead.

Berwick hit back with two goals from Sean Simpson and a Jamie Punton goal before half-time.

Aaron Punton added a fourth and Sean Simpson completed his hat-trick, with Neil McFarlane pulling a goal back by netting his second before the final whistle.

DIVISION TWO

EMBLETON had Jonny Colley on target but goals from Andrew Walton and Mark Laidler gave Lynemouth a half-time lead.

Liam Grisdale netted a second-half hat-trick for the visitors with Jonny Colley recording his second late in the game.

Springhill...4 Bamburgh Castle...0
IN a wind-spoilt game, Craig Young had given Springhill a half-time lead and they went on to take the points with second-half strikes from Mark Reid and David Jardine (two).

Rothbury Reserves...2 Alnmouth Utd...2
A FIFTH-minute goal from Rod Armstrong gave Alnmouth the lead, with Stuart Cave equalising for Rothbury after 25 minutes.

John Barlow restored Alnmouth's lead after 35 minutes and, n the second half, it took an 89th minute goal from Mark Bruce to give Rothbury a share of the points.

NFA MINOR CUP

Ashington Ath...9 Hedgeley Rovers...3
HEDGELEY shocked high-flying Ashington, taking a second-minute lead with a goal from Adam Howe.

The home team pulled a goal back but Hedgeley netted a second from Robin Brown to give them the lead at half-time.

In the second half, Ashington turned up the pressure to net eight times, with Stephen Shendon cracking one in from long range for Hedgeley's third.

Goal scorers for Ashington were a Ritchie Hall hat-trick, two each for Kevin Bell and Rob Groves and single strikes by Paul Hedley and Ross Crate.
