NEWCASTLE United are being linked with a move for Switzerland striker Eren Derdiyok, who is also being monitored by Arsenal.
The 20-year-old is rated in the £6m bracket, and according to the Daily Mirror, Magpies boss Kevin Keegan rates the tall striker.

The front man won a league and cup double with FC Basel last season and played in all three of his country's games at Euro 2008.

After coming on as a late substitute in his the Swiss side's opening defeat against the Czech Republic, Derdiyok started the games against Turkey and Portugal.

He set up the Swiss goal for Hakan Yakin in the 2-1 defeat to Turkey and was again the creator when Yakin opened the scoring in the 2-0 win over Portugal.

He made his Swiss debut in the friendly with England at Wembley back in February, scoring his side's goal in the 1-1 draw after coming off the bench in the second half.
