Roy Keane has been linked with a move for Sheffield United striker James Beattie.
Beattie, who has bags of Premiership experience with Everton and Blackburn, would cost Sunderland around £5m.

The Daily Mirror reckons Beattie could be signed as a replacement for Kenwyne Jones in the short-term, and as a partner for the injured Trinidad & Tobago star in the second half of the season.

Beattie scored 22 goals for Sheffield United in the Championship last season.
