ALNWICK Bowling Club's annual tour, this year to the West coast of Scotland, could not escape the weather which has dogged bowlers for most of the season.
On Monday, the match against Troon was rained off and Alnwick members had a game indoors among themselves.

Tuesday's game against Hurlford was also hit by rain and only nine ends were played. When the game was called off Alnwick were losing.

After that things got better. They won against Adrossan on the Wednesday.

The visitors so impressed the home club that they have arranged to come to Alnwick in May next year.

They recorded another victory against Fairlie on Thursday and on the last day, completed a four-match winning run beating Girvan.
