PONY whizz Dan Thompson has helped to guide England to glory in an international competition.
Dan, 15, was one of four riders to represent the country at the English Home Pony international at South View Equestrian Centre, Warrington, at the end of last month.

Dan was the third English team member to jump, and riding his pony Moonlight Flight, he leapt to a clear round.

England took the gold, finishing with no faults, while Scotland took the silver and Ireland the bronze.

Dan thanked Shaun Brown and family after they lent him their wagon for transport.

Dan, who has no transport at the moment, said he would not have been able to compete if it hadn't been for that gesture.
