They regained the title they lost to Linden Hall last year with a 12-0 home victory over Wooler, having gone into the game with a six-point lead over nearest rivals Alnwick.

In the end, they reclaimed the title by a margin of 14 points with Berwick A pipping Alnwick for runners-up honours.

Any thoughts Bamburgh had of recapturing the title were dealt a shock when they crashed 11-1 away to Magdalene Fields in their opening fixture.

But, like all true champions, they battled back and put together a storming run in the second half of the season to clinch it, with Berwick A and Alnwick pushing them for much of the way.
