DIVISIONAL CUP U13, QUARTER-FINAL
AMBLE had a break from league duty at the weekend and focused on the Quarter-Final of the Divisional Cup against lower league opposition Bedlington.

They again started this game playing some neat football with James Aston having Amble's first chance which went just wide of the post.

Jason Imeson played in a superb ball to Tom Anderson, with the keeper saving well. Anderson received the ball wide on the right, playing it to Callum Fenwick, who laid it back for Jason Imeson to hit a first-time shot wide.

James Oliver was getting forward at every opportunity, playing the ball cross-field to Tom Anderson. He squared to Callum Fenwick, who shot on goal, with the keeper saving.

Brad Little started Amble's next move, bringing Adam Jobson into play. He laid the ball off to Andy Flanighan, with Callum Fenwick crossing into the box where the defender to blocked it.

Another great move from the back, this time from Jonathan Fenwick, who played the ball wide to James Aston. Brad Little supported well and brought in Tom Anderson. He shot from distance and the keeper saved comfortably.

Matty Stephenson collected the ball in his own half. With space in front, he carried it forward to start another Amble move.

Oliver then found Tom Anderson and his left-foot shot went across the face of the goal and out for a goal-kick.

With the keeper kicking the ball upfield, Andy Flanighan got his head to the ball, with Josh Purvis coming off his line to collect it.

Amble finally got the goal they deserved, with Andy Flanighan playing the ball to Adam Jobson on the right. Jobson made a run down the wing beating his defender then sending in a cross to Callum Fenwick, who hit a first-time shot into the back of the net.

Cameron Roper, back from injury, played the second half in goal but had very little to do.

Jordan King was put through early in the second half by another good ball from Adam Jobson, but was unfortunately ruled offside.

Imeson threaded a great pass to Jobson, with the keeper saving well. Callum Fenwick created Amble's second goal, playing in Jordan King who beat the keeper from close range, doubling Amble's advantage.

King and Fenwick combined well upfront. King received the ball out wide and shot across the face of the goal instead of squaring it.

With the wind behind Amble, the ball went out to Flanighan. The keeper got a hand to his first-time shot, but it was too strong and went over the line for a three-goal lead.

Jamie Stanford, playing on the right wing, cut inside then played the ball out to Callum Fenwick, who hit the bar with his effort. Jamie Stanford scored a terrific individual goal, collecting the ball on the halfway line.

His mazy run took him past five or six players and into the penalty area, before he hit the ball into the back of the net for a fantastic fourth goal.

James Oliver scored Amble's fifth goal, collecting the ball on the edge of the box, then hitting a curling left-foot shot into the top corner of the net for a 5-0 lead.

James Oliver had another chance. With the Bedlington keeper going off injured, his replacement saved well.

Brad Little again played in Tom Anderson, whose shot hit the bar then went out of play. Anderson again made the keeper work with another save minutes later.

A poor kick from the Bedlington keeper allowed Jordan King to collect the ball, but his shot went wide.

Josh Purvis, who played in goal in the first half, had the last five minutes playing upfront.

He beat his defender down the right then sent a cross into the penalty area for Max Anderson to head in Amble's sixth goal and comfortably send them into the Semi-Final of the Divisional Cup.
