Sportsworld North Northumberland League, Division One
AMBLE recorded a comfortable win over Belford at Beach Road, Warkworth, to consolidate a mid-table position.

The home side started brightly with Scott Sherrington opening the scoring with a well-taken strike after two minutes.

Ethan Miller ex
tended the lead six minutes later with a run and shot from the left-hand side of the penalty box.

The Seasiders scored a third goal with another great effort from Sherrington after 29 minutes.

The home side increased the lead three minutes later with another goal from their Coquet High School connection. An Ethan Miller corner was volleyed home by Paul Smith to record his first North Northumberland League goal.

Belford almost scored just before the interval with a tremendous strike from Kevin France but Amble keeper Adam Capper produced an equally great save.

The home side recorded a fifth goal when Ethan Miller curled a superb left-foot 25 yard free-kick round the wall into the top far corner of the net after 55 minutes.

Smith curled a right foot free-kick round the wall that went inches round the upright on the hour mark.

The Seasiders were initially denied a sixth goal from a thunderous strike by Andy Timson that was matched by a tremendous save from visiting keeper Chris Sinton.

The resulting corner by Ethan Miller was headed back by Smith and Timson volleyed home from the edge of the box.
