All Alnwick Town's fixutres, results, reports and Northern Alliance, Premier Division table for the 2007/08 season.HIGH-FLYING Gillford Park piled more misery on to Alnwick Town as they condemned the St James' Park side to a seventh successive defeat.
A brace from Graham Goulding and goals apiece for Steven Skinner and Kyle Armstrong guided the Carlisle outfit to a 4-0 triumph and helped Park complete a league double over Town.
The result leaves Town fourth from bottom, still searching for their first point of 2008.
In truth, the scoreline was flattering to a Gillford Park side who never really controlled the game.
But importantly, the visitors gave Town a lesson in clinical finishing and penetration.
For Park, now unbeaten in 11 league games, ruthlessly dispatched the few chances that came their way.
The first came after just five minutes. A delightful ball into the box delivered from deep by right-back Darren Addison found Steven Skinner 12yards out. Placing himself between centre-backs Ross Young and Bryan Murray, Skinner looped a header over the stranded Brooks, leaving the Town stopper in no-man's land.
The fact that Skinner has played for a wealth of high-level clubs including Morecambe and Gretna was of scant consolation to Town.
Alnwick fell further behind 10 minutes later thanks to a defensive error. A sloppy touch from Young allowed Goulding to steel in and the striker took full advantage by curling in a sublime low effort past Brooks.
The visitors could have made it three just after the half-hour but a stunning safe from Brooks kept Park at bay, before the woodwork denied Goulding a second.
But moments later Park did increase their tally with Goulding finishing superbly from close range.
Town failed to find any rhythm in the first period. Indeed a soft header wide of the post from David McCann was as good as it got.
But the hosts did improve after the break, keeping the ball for longer periods and keeping play in the Park half.
Worryingly though, the hosts lacked any penetration. And despite all their possession and effort, failed to really test the Park keeper. A ferocious shot by substitute James Swordy which flashed wide was the closest Town got before Gavin Keen missed a last minute effort which, in truth, was easier to score.
But at the other end Park concluded their finishing lesson. With six minutes to go Kyle Armstrong converted the visitors' only effort of the second period.
Winger Skinner took the ball neatly in his stride before teeing up Armstrong with a low pass. Armstrong took one touch before firing the ball past Brooks to complete the rout.
