CHRIS Goodwin landed two maximums on Friday night as his Alnwick Gate A side thumped John Bull 7-0 to consolidate their lead at the top of Division A in the Alnwick Premier Darts League.
The Gate have opened up a gap at the summit, sitting five points clear of second-placed Blue Bell A – who beat Gate B 4-3.
The division’s two other matches were also settled by the same scoreline.
The Fleece edged a thrilling contest against the Farriers while Oddies B came out on top against The George.
In Division B, Alnwick Gate C continued their great form winning 7-0 at Alnwick Castle Golf Club B, to remain clear at the top of the table.
Alnwick Working Mens Club (AWMC) B are three points behind and kept up the pressure as they won 5-2 at home to Shilbottle Club.
Geordie Tate hit a 115 finish for the Alnwick men during the match.
The Market Tavern went down 4-3 at home to AWMC A while The Hotspur – who are possibly the surprise team of the season – once again turned in a fine performance, this time beating Alnwick Castle Golf Club A 4-3.
