And the paddle ace, 33, who will be locking horns with the world's best in Ile D'Oleron, France, is aiming to make 2008 a double-dose of championship glory.
Already crowned European champion earlier this year, victory in the week-long global competition would see her become World Champion, completing a stunning haul of success.
A triumph would also erase memories of a narrow World Cup defeat two years ago when she lost out to America's Kate Smith by just one point.
Looking ahead to the World Cup, which starts on September 14, Tamsin, of Hauxley, said: "I am feeling really confident. The World Cup two years ago in Portugal was my first major competition and I have a lot more experience now."
Tamsin, who retained her European title at Mundaka, Northern Spain, added: "I am a better paddler now and I have got a boat that I like. I have trained really hard so I would like to think that I can win."
But the World Cup isn't the only competition Tamsin will be targeting in France.
The Coquet High School teacher will be joining her Team England colleagues in their assault on the Home International crown.
The competition, which runs in conjunction with the World Cup, will pit England against Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands and paddle perfection would see Team England regain the title.
But Tamsin won't be the only Green representing England.
Husband Dan has qualified for the team for the first time.
The duo are the only two team members from Northumberland.
Thirty year-old Dan, who has been kayaking for around seven years, said: "It is an exciting time and to be in the national team is a combination of two years hard work really."
He added: "I hope we can win. We have a very strong team going into the event so it should be a good competition for us."
