WITH the league season over for another year, it is championship week at Alnwick Squash Club with finals night tomorrow.
In the club championship semi-finals, Liam Gutcher plays Brendan Callaghan while Russell Hunter plays Ron Freeman. With youth on his side Gutcher is a strong favourite to triumph.

In the over 50s, Roy Bell faces a tough task but if he avoids injury will hope to reach the final against Brian Sanderson or John Frewing.

Alan Morgan and Bill Sharp may have something to say about Roy going through and will make him work very hard to do so.

In the Plate competition the favourites to reach the final are Henry Glassey and Alan Morgan but with high handicaps an upset may be on the cards.

Finals night starts at 7pm and spectators are very welcome.
