ALNWICK Town A continue to lead the Alnwick Premier Darts League after a 5-2 win over the Alnwick Arms.
The football club side maintained their great form with a convincing victory over the pub outfit.

Town's Peter Saunders hit a magnificent 147 finish but the Arms' Sean Turner stole the show by nailing a 180.

The triumph sees Town top the league, five points clear of second-placed Alnmouth Village.

The Village kept up the pressure though on the league leaders with a 5-2 win over Football Club B.

Elsewhere, Alnwick Golf Club teed up success against basement side Queens Head while The Fleece beat the John Bull by the same 5-2 margin.

The league's only other match was a tighter affair, with the Farriers taking the honours in a dramatic 4-3 win at the Market Tavern. The victory was secured on the last leg of the night.

Week seven of the darts league sees the John Bull host league leaders Alnwick Town A and Football Club B entertain The Fleece. The Queens Head take on Alnmouth Village while the Farriers play Alnwick Golf Club. Friday's final match sees Alnwick Arms face the Market Tavern.
