Tuesday, May 12: Bill Giles' Weather Show – from the man who led the BBC weather team for 17 years, Bill Giles now presents his one-man weather show. He will take you through all weather phenomena – rainbows, lightening, thunder waterspouts, tornadoes and hurricanes, Met Office jargon, climate change and the effect of greenhouse gases, what weather we can expect in the next 50 to 100 years, and bloomers at Television Centre. 7.30pm tickets £14, £13 conc.

Wednesday, May 13: Kasaï Masaï – bringing the traditional sound of remote equatorial African villages to Alnwick, picking up a contemporary twist on the way. 7.30pm tickets £14, £13 conc.

Thursday, May 14: The Paperboys – an astonishing eclectic folk-rock quintet from Canada with an Americana sound incorporating soul music and country. Featuring a great lead vocalist and stunning fiddle playing. The Paperboys are one of the most exciting bands to come out of the folk-roots corner. 7.30pm tickets £14, £13 conc.

Thursday, May 14: Alnwick Playhouse Spring Tour 2009. Vivaldi by Candlelight including The Four Seasons – a composition which depicts 17th century Italian rural life in a wonderfully inventive manner, Concerto for Two Violins, and the Rustic Symphony.
