Thursday, March 20: Great Northumbrian Breakfast Festival. Event to celebrate the Great Northumbrian Breakfast in Alnwick on St Cuthbert's Day, with cookery demonstrations by chef Richard Sim in the Northumberland Hall at 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm. Organised by Northumberland Tourism.

Richard Holmes – former team leader of Northumberland National Park Search and Rescue Team joins Peter McEwan for this 5–6 hour, 6–8 mile guided walk into the dark over varied terrain. 3pm. £12. Wednesday, March 26: Holy Island Sand Dune and Shore. This walk goes through the sand dunes to the isolated beaches on the eastern shore of Holy Island. Birds, plants, seals, views and local history are all evident. The walk is moderate and at safe crossing times. Everyone is welcome, just turn up in suitable footwear.
