Unfair on dog owners

Perhaps you can enlighten me on the subject of horse poo.

I have a dog which is taken out for walks. Every pocket of my husband’s and my jackets contain dog poo bags (I’m sure we aren’t the only doggie people who do this).

Why, then, when we are told we must clean up after our dogs, can horsey people get away with leaving their animals’ deposits all over roads and footpaths?

Go through Gloster Park estate or up Gloster Hill, down Church Street and elsewhere and there can be found obvious evidence that horses have passed that way - there’s no mention about their owners having to clean up after them.

Is this really fair? I don’t think so and I’m not alone in thinking this.

Any comments on this, please?
