Turbine anger

I have been following the protests about destructive wind turbines with the same anger as most people in Northumberland.

I see in last week’s Gazette some kindly folk across the county have applied for planning permission for a raised decking area in their back garden and someone else a couple of small extensions to their homes.

The absurdity of this situation is that they will be scrutinised extremely closely to ensure they don’t ‘conflict with the local vernacular’ by the same planners who have allowed the ghastly ‘windfarms’ that have not just conflicted with the local vernacular, but are utterly destroying it.
