IT is incredible to see, yet again, that an idiot got stuck on Holy Island causeway.
At this time of the year, with winter weather and tides, the man is an imbecile.
As I wrote to the paper some time ago on the same subject, surely now is the time to erect large notices at each end informing people that if they have to be rescued by anyone (who is risking their own life to do this) then they will be charged and that charge will not be insubstantial.
Sometimes it is necessary to accept that the only thing which stops people taking needless risks is the threat of losing some of their precious money.
Could this not now be given a trial period just to see if the number of such idiots decreases?
