Last week I stayed in Alnmouth for four days and may I through your newspaper thank the following people for the kindness that was shown to me.
The very kind lady who gave me a lift from the station to Foxton Hall. I didn’t get her name but she was picking up friends from the station. She was a member of the golf club.
The couple I met in the Village Tearooms in Alnmouth who wouldn’t let me pay for my coffee, they picked up the bill. I think they lived in Cresswell.
The taxi services I used - Don and Knight Taxis.
The staff at the Foxton Hall Golf Club, particularly the stewardess Ali and her daughter Kerry.
Maureen who I met in the the golf club in the evening.
It was my first holiday alone and I was a little apprehensive, but I needn’t have been because everywhere I went people were so friendly and kind and only too happy to talk to me.
I hope to come back to the area next year for a longer stay.
