Here’s your chance to team up with Barnardo’s North East and designer Cath Kidston in August, to work on the gifts everyone wants to give this summer – two very special items for Prince George of Cambridge.
By making a donation of £5 to the UK’s leading children’s charity, members of the public can play a personal part in the gifts for the royal baby and make their congratulations really count.
To mark the occasion of the royal birth, designer Cath Kidston, is creating a cashmere baby blanket, hand embroidered with a selection of names of those who have donated, as well as bespoke wallpaper with the future king’s nursery in mind which will list the names of all the well-wishers.
Once completed the baby blanket and wallpaper will be presented to Barnardo’s president HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, to be passed on to William and Kate.
The funds raised via the special gifts for the royal baby will go towards Barnardo’s North East’s work with vulnerable and disadvantaged parents and babies.
To have your name appear on the blanket or wallpaper and to show your support for the UK’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged children visit: www.barnardosroyalwelcome.co.uk before September 1. Due to restricted space and high levels of public response, the names featured on the baby blanket will be randomly selected from all of those who donate. All people who donate will be named on the wallpaper.
