REFUGEES: So much for Christianity

I have followed some of your correspondence on the possible housing of refugees in our area and recently on the fears that we do not know much about them.

In any group comprising tens of thousands, there will be a few bad apples, people who are selfish, and prejudiced, just like us.

“We don’t want them in the unoccupied rectory”, and “they breed, they should stay in their own country and not bother us”, are comments I have heard voiced and endorsed by prominent church-goers.

If that’s Christianity, thank God for atheism.
