The Rotary Club of Alnwick held what is now their annual quiz night in the Masonic Hall, Prudhoe Street. Sixty-two townsfolk made up 11 teams.
The winners on the night by one point were the team Mix and Match, runners-up were Ilov Fosters, with the Doolally Tappers taking the booby prize.
Pie and peas were enjoyed at the interval.
The night raised £546 for charity, split between our international project, which is helping to build a much-needed school in Mapalagama, Sri Lanka, details of which can be seen on our club website, Google search Rotary Club of Alnwick.
Our general charity fund, which helps needy causes, will also benefit.
Special thanks to the management of the Masonic Hall for the use of the premises and to Green’s the butcher’s of Longframlington who supplied the lovely pies.
Rotarian Ken Moore,
On behalf of president Elaine and club members
