WE felt compelled to write to express our huge thanks and gratitude to all of those who have supported us, not just over the last few weeks but the last four years of Matt’s life.
We have been moved beyond words at the kindness and generosity of family and friends who have rallied around us to try to make these years more bearable.
We have been blown away by the support from so many different people in Alnwick and the surrounding areas who took our little boy into their hearts and tried to help in so many ways, from fund-raisers to raising awareness of brain tumors in children, to kind words in passing, please all know that each and every act has brought us comfort and will never be forgotten.
In donations on Justgiving and at Matthew’s service we have managed to over £2,000 for the Joseph Foote Foundation, which we asked for in lieu of flowers and we want to say a big thank-you to everyone for that.
Matt brought a sparkle to all who met him, I don’t think anyone realised how much. He had a wonderful way with people old and young and people were drawn to him.
We have had some wonderful letters, cards and memories from people telling us how much he impacted on their lives, we will treasure these forever.
We miss Matthew dreadfully, he was and always will be our precious boy, we must try to carry on with our lives in some way, he would be devastated to see how sad we are.
The Phillips Family,
