One rule for some

Have your say

I AM disabled driver and while in Alnwick on Friday I observed that of the three disabled parking places in Narrowgate, there was only one available for drivers like me to park in.

Attached is a photograph which shows that the other two Blue Badge holders’ bays in front of the former Carrick’s shop were blocked by a fence, a huge skip and building materials.

Now, if a traffic warden were to see any vehicle parked in a disabled driver’s parking bay without the neccesary Blue Badge on display, they would, under the law, be prosecuted.

How is it then, that the company responsible for the fence, skip and building materials is getting away with blocking these bays to disabled drivers?
