I HAVE been contacted by a number of expectant mothers about their inability to purchase tickets for their as yet unborn babies, whom they will need to take to Olympics events for which they were lucky enough to get tickets.
I have now taken this up with ministers and have been assured that anyone with a ticket who will need to take an infant with them will be able to do so.
They will need to book ‘pay your age’ tickets for children aged one and under which will be charged at £1. In order to add a ‘pay your age’ ticket to their existing account, they would need to call the ticketing team on 0844 8472012 when tickets go on sale in early 2012.
As ever, it seems that mothers are planning ahead more quickly than the bureaucratic system they need to access. I hope that this will help others for whom this has been a problem.
