While working as a driver for the WRVS Getabout Scheme, I was asked by a passenger if I could look at the damaged brakes on their wheeled walker.
In the circumstances, my intervention did not help, especially as I managed to lose a small screw.
I took the walker to Cyclelife at the Lionheart Enterprise Park, Alnwick, and they not only instantly replaced the missing part, but checked and adjusted both brakes as well.
And all free of charge!
The owner of the walker is delighted – and safe.
