I read with interest in the Gazette, June 13, about all the government ministers who have been to see the A1 in north Northumberland. I would like to ask them a question.
To any of those government ministers who might read the Gazette and are keen on the correct use of words.
I have noticed that the trees on the A1 north of Morpeth, are nearly touching each other.
When the trees eventually do touch each other across the A1 does it mean that the A1 then becomes an Avenue because we would then have to call it Avenue 1.
But what I’d like really like to ask is:
Can we Av e nue 1 please? Or maybe your haven’t got dual hearing.
