FIREWORKS: Donations keep the event going

To the folk who enjoyed the Alnwick Fireworks 2015.

Every year this community event is made possible by the previous year’s attendees.

Their financial contribution through entrance fees and dropping money into buckets is vital to ensure a safe and controlled event is available for everyone to enjoy the following year, thus enabling the hard working volunteers that come from many local organisations to create the event.

We know not everyone watches from inside the rugby club, but we would like to thank the people that donate via the collection buckets that pass through the car parks.

If you enjoyed the fireworks and didn’t get a chance to donate something, there is always a collection tin at Turnbull’s the butchers.

Through the support of the people of Alnwick, this year they have helped to assist Alnwick Football Club Juniors, the Mighty Oaks hot drinks service, and Alnwick mini and junior rugby.

Round Table is always looking out for worthy causes to support.

Alnwick Roundtable is always needing volunteers and new members to make sure this benefit to the district continues. If you are interested, contact Gary Brown, c/o The Oaks Hotel, Alnwick.

Finally, a big thank you to the people of Alnwick. You are what make this a great place to live. Looking forward to next year’s events already.
