The other day an unsolicited handout called the North Northumberland News was slipped through my letterbox.

One article caught my attention and I am forced to question it. The article states that Labour plan to build hundreds of homes in north Northumberland but local Tories led by senior north Northumberland councillors have tried to block the plan.

As far as I am concerned this statement is completely untrue.

During the past three years I have been working with national, county and private developers to move forward various schemes to ensure that adequate housing is available in the near future to accommodate all sections of my communities.

I hope that anyone who reads this letter will appreciate that I and my fellow Conservatives appreciate the housing needs in our respective areas and as we have been doing in the past will continue to work towards developments fit for purpose in locations suitable for everyone.
