First Wooler BP Scout Group, covering our Investiture ceremony that took place on Sunday, December 11.

LEADERS, Scouts, Wolf Cubs and Beavers belonging to the First Wooler BP Scout Group made their promise to do their duty in front of the Chief Commissioner for BP Scouts Graham Rutherford, leaders from the surrounding Groups at Flodden and Whittingham and a large group of parents.

Group Scout Master Mark Napier was invested by the Chief Commissioner. He then invested the leaders, who went on to invest their respective sections.

In the final part, the leaders were presented with their Warrants, before heading indoors for refreshments and a chance for the parents to meet the other leaders.

The First Wooler BP Scout Group only formed at the end of September and everyone has been working hard to achieve the standard required to be invested into the BP Scouts.

BP Scouting provides practical and traditional scouting for the 21st century, we are outdoor orientated and have an exciting programme planned for the New Year.

The group is looking for new members and caters for boys and girls from the age of five upwards with no maximum age limit.

It meets at Wooler Bowling Club on Tuesday evenings.
