FREE workshops are being offered to introduce residents in north Northumberland to the world of volunteering – including a free lunch.
Organised by Volunteering Northumberland, the event in Alnwick on May 4 will include a look at the benefits of volunteering, a chance to consider your own skills and what to expect when you start volunteering. Another workshop will be held in Berwick on May 11.
Terri Bearhope, the volunteering development officer for the north of the county, said, “Anyone who is interested in volunteering is welcome to book a place at one of the sessions, either in Alnwick or Berwick. They are free, lunch is included and four charities will be there to let people know what they have to offer volunteers.
“Many of the people taking part will not have been to anything similar before, so if you’ve been considering volunteering but don’t know where to start, please get in touch.”
