Window smashed in emergency vehicle

AN Ambulance window was smashed in Rothbury last week.

Vandals attacked the First Responder vehicle which was parked in the village’s Community Hospital car park between 10.40pm on Monday, March 12 and 6.20am on Tuesday, March 13.

Alnwick Neighbourhood Police Insp Paul Truscott said: “This is absolute mindless vandalism. Their actions have meant that the ambulance is off the road and unavailable to help the public.

“There is no place for this kind of behaviour in our communities and we are carrying out inquiries to trace those responsible.”

Inquiries are ongoing into the damage and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191.
